Passport Size Image Guidelines

Please upload a clear passport-sized photo with a white background. Ensure your face is fully visible, with no shadows, and a neutral expression. Crop the image to show only your face, with no extra space around it. The image should be no larger than 2MB and in a valid format (PNG, JPEG or JPG). 

Passport Photo

When submitting a photo of your passport, please ensure it meets the following criteria:

  • The image should clearly show the entire passport page, including the passport number and personal details.
  • Ensure the photo is in focus and well-lit, with no reflections or shadows.
  • The image should be in a standard format (JPG, JPEG, or PNG) and no larger than 2MB.
  • Only the passport page should be visible, with no extra surroundings or objects in the frame.

Please note: Your International Driving Permit (IDP) might have the endorsement page and photo page on separate pages. To avoid any confusion, ensure you take clear, separate photos of both pages. You can either combine them into a single file before uploading or upload both images separately in the endorsement page section of the licence form.

From April 2025 onwards, you’ll need both an International Driving Permit (IDP) and a local tuktuk endorsement from the Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC) to drive legally in Sri Lanka.
